Perspective

Thought it would be fun to paint the lighting and reflections of a wine glass, and am pretty pleased with my first attempt at this.  I painted it upside down to get the inverted scene in the glass.  11 X 14 acrylic on canvas, painted in February 2012.

Credit also goes to a photographer who posted his work online, which I based this on.  http://www.capetowndailyphoto.com/blog/2010/01/streaming-wine-from-cape-town/

Sunrise on Haleakala

Inspired by a recent trip to Maui in which we got up really early and drove up the long cold road to the top of Haleakala, a 10,000 ft mountain.  Sunrise is amazing, as it's almost always above the cloud line.  16 X 20 acrylic on canvas, painted in February 2012.
