Vander Pol farm (1946 - 1964)

This was a gift to my Grandma Agnes Vander Pol on her 100 birthday.  Based on a photo my dad took in the early '60's.   11 x 14 acrylic on canvas board, framed in barn wood.

Perspective

Thought it would be fun to paint the lighting and reflections of a wine glass, and am pretty pleased with my first attempt at this.  I painted it upside down to get the inverted scene in the glass.  11 X 14 acrylic on canvas, painted in February 2012.

Sunrise on Haleakala

Inspired by a recent trip to Maui in which we got up really early and drove up the long cold road to the top of Haleakala, a 10,000 ft mountain.  Sunrise is amazing, as it's almost always above the cloud line.  16 X 20 acrylic on canvas, painted in February 2012.

Kailua Beach

My vacation, painting in the rain on Kailua Beach on Oahu.  Kind of ironic though, went to the beach being antisocial to paint, and everyone wants to talk to the painter :)  small 8 X 10 acrylic on canvas, all I could fit in my backpack.
